But in an emergency, I can surrender it easily and hope that the assailant is more interested in a quick windfall than carefully assessing the situation and evaluating whether or not I have more stashed somewhere that he'll have to go to considerable effort to get. Pocket openings are usually quite wide, so I take a safety pin and, from the inside of the trousers, I pin the pocket and reduce the size of the opening so that I can only just remove the wallet. That way it's still accessible but no pickpocket can slide it out of there. 3-Jun-2001 harry ID229 - Make sure that you have a thick rubberband around your wallet.
