I take the unnecessary material and sew a rectangle pouch about 5 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches high, and I use Velcro to close the opening. Then I sew it to the inner side waistband. Good for credit cards, ship ID, color copy of passport, etc. In addition, when shortening T-shirts, the cutoff in 3 inches x 5 inches makes great soft glasses cleaners! 20-Apr-2009 K. Cut off a leg of an old pair of panty hose, put the money/credit cards in the leg, and tie the leg around your waist underneath loose-fitting clothes. Keep a small amount of money in your pants/skirt pocket for necessary expenses or in the hopefully unlikely event that a stranger demands money. 1-Jan-2001 Liz Chicknavorian ID859 - When traveling in Africa wear a support bra for the safari - VERY bumpy roads - GREAT Adventure! 6-Jan-2005 Danielle Austin ID1771 - When arriving at an airport alone I often find people interested in my 'travel arrangements'. I always tell them that my husband is coming on a later flight so that in case there is an air accident, the children won't be left orphaned. This has saved me from a lot of problems and unwanted attentions, especially from taxi drivers. 14-Jun-2001 G.
