11 12 13 14 15 [Next] - I learned a lesson while being on vacation in Sweden. I had put my shampoo bottle in my backpack - and of course the top flipped open and I had shampoo ALL over. In the backpack I had some extra clothes, bathsuit, etc., and it was a MESS to get it cleaned again with all the shampoo. Since then, I always bring screw-top bottles, and/or put my shampoo, liquid soap, and lotions in small plastic bags. Then, if the bottles break I won't get all my things soaked with shampoo! The weather on the other side of the world is always uncertain. Mathias Tabor ID768 - When packing clothing, roll them instead of folding them. This cuts down on wrinkles and ironing. Bolton Bed and Breakfast, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada ID796 - When I spent two months in Europe, my mother suggested packing my clothes in those bags that you roll up to expel the air [like the vacuum ones without needing a vacuum]. It was the best suggestion I had from anyone and I definitely recommend it. I could sort dirty clothes from clean ones [great when you have smelly walking socks] and they protected my clothes from getting soaked and sticky when some juice spilt all through my case. They are also good when you don't have time to dry wet clothes [like bathers] before moving on; they might smell, but at least your other clothes stay dry. Kit S.
