4 5 6 7 8 9 [Next] - INSIDE of every bag you bring, carry-on or checked, place your name, address, phone number on a card inside a small ziplock bag. You wouldn't believe how many of those nametags fall off the outside of bags. If the airlines find your bag, they will search the inside for ID. 1-Jan-2000 Gloria Danielson ID814 - Tired of trying to figure out which key goes with which suitcase lock? I use a permanent felt marker to number the locks and their keys; matching them is a breeze. Also - as mobile phones can increasingly work anywhere in the world - put your mobile number on the luggage i.d. - if you are taking it with you. 1-Jan-2000 Tom Cornwall ID799 - This tip may sound unconventional - but it's very useful. If you want a place to keep credit card numbers, etc. as a backup where nobody would ever think of looking for them, try this: Pack a roll of toilet tissue. Then, very carefully insert the empty tube into the middle of the full roll of toilet tissue. This has to be done carefully - and there will be a small crease on the 'fake' center once you have finished. Nobody would ever think to look there! They're flat, light and disposable, and they work very well. 21-Apr-2001 H.
