Richard Salo ID731 - A few items that I try to include are a small credit card-sized calculator for currency calculations and the like, a small handheld compass, and an extra pair of prescription glasses plus a copy of my lens prescription. Ron Thornbury ID682 - If you are travelling on a long 12-14 hour flight, take a thin beach towel to use as a blanket. Airlines never provide adequate ones. Also take sweets, tasty snacks, foldable board game, a good book, and a toilet-kit of your own to have a good freshen-up. However hard airlines try, it is nice to have your own things with you. Phuket SOI Holiday Apartments, Patong, Thailand ID750 - I personally never leave home without Nappy (diaper) rash cream such as Drapolene. It is a cure for all manner of things including insect bites, sunburn, and chafing after a long day's trekking in hot climates. You may get a few laughs when you take it out, but you'll be the one laughing in the end. Dan Edwards ID1326 - A great tip for saving money and space in your suitcase is to take a refillable water pouch along on your trips. Instead of buying wasteful plastic water bottles every time you go out, fill your water pouch up at your hotel or hostel every morning and go. When it's finished, simply roll up the pouch and pop it in your pocket. For more information about cheap hotels and hostels, along with tips and tricks for travel, visit AnyTrip.com.
