Clorox/Lysol have large containers for their wipes, so I rip off a few and put them in ziplock bags to keep them from drying out. As soon as I get to a hotel room, I wipe down anything that I will touch or that I know others have touched: door knobs, light switches, remotes, faucets, phones, etc. Not only does it give you piece of mind, it could prevent you from catching colds or other unpleasant things that could ruin your trip! (note: read instructions carefully - some wipes contain bleach and should not be used on certain surfaces or on things like dishes and utensils). C.Y. Wong ID1681 - When packing, don't forget over-the-counter meds. What I find works best is the following combination: 1 small bottle of Neoproxin Sodium (Aleve), decongestant, and/or Day/NiQuil, Exedrin Migraine (women, also useful if you are sensitive to air pressure in flight cabin), and Pepto Bismol. K. Kat ID685 - I hate not having enough water coming from the shower head. RoboGrip or ViceGrip pliers allow you to remove the shower head and pluck out the flow restrictor. WPM ID266 - When traveling in third-world countries (or any country for that matter) where there are poor washing facilities, bring along some instant hand sanitizer. Purell is a good brand. They come in little pocket-sized and purse-sized containers and also the kind that liquid soap comes in. Alex K. ID78 - I don't take a portable iron - I use a spray bottle. It works great. I didn't believe it until I tried it before my trip. Cuts down on weight and bulk, which is great when you use one suitcase for a trip.
