For instance, instead of bringing large bottles of shampoo and conditioner, use shampoo/conditioner 2-in-1, in a trial size bottle (save some money by refilling the bottles) - it works just as well, and saves time too! Also, if you're going overseas, don't try to bring your own 'comfort foods' - things can spoil or insects can get to them, and you'll miss out on the culture. I went to the Amazon River Basin once, and I brought Milk Duds along. First the chocolate melted and it became one solid lump, then ants got to it. What a waste! 21-Apr-2001 Debbie Moss ID82 - Pack a small plug-in nightlight with your toiletries. Use it in the bathroom of your hotel, and you won't be blinded by the overhead light in the middle of the night ... and remember to bring it home with you! 1-Jan-2000 R. Berg ID712 - I usually pack a nite-lite for sleeping in dark hotel rooms. It comes in handy since it's harder to navigate your way to the bathroom in a dark unfamiliar setting. If I am awakened in the middle of the night, I feel safer when the room is not completely dark. A nite-lite packs easily in a shoe or in the corner of your luggage. 1-Jan-2000 Gigi McGuire ID721 - Bring only a few changes of socks and underwear. You can wash them in your room each night in the sink, hang them to dry, and have fresh ones each morning. 1-Jan-2000 Damon Fernandes ID735 - Lay out all the clothes you think you would like to have on your trip and then choose HALF of those items to pack and take with you. You'll still have plenty of clothing to wear and a lot less to haul around! 1-Jan-2000 Julie Morford ID730 Would You Like to Add a Travel Tip?We welcome QUALITY travel tips from our users.Note: you will be required to enter the characters from a security image, so please make sure that you have your browser set to view images.
