Use your last name and first initial, the hotel name, the hotel number, and the city you are going to on the tag. You should also place this information on the inside of the bag with your itinerary, and another phone contact of a family or friend that can give specifics on how to contact you. Believe me when I say this helps to get your baggage to you faster. Placing something on the outside of the bag, and knowing a good description of the items in the bag, can help with identification if the outside tags are off. I have iron-on patches from all the places I have been with the bag on mine. Make sure you know where your tag stubs are when you check in; you need these also to make finding the bag easier.
