1 2 [Next] - Consider carefully your advertising strategy, especially in one shot printed publications like B&B guides, B&B recipe books, police associations, annual crime prevention publications, your local theater group's program, etc. In seven years I have tried it all. The best guides do not charge a listing fee; e.g., Lonely Planet, Canadian Automobile Association, etc. They inspect instead. These costs tend to become formidable. 1-Jan-2000 Gower House Bed and Breakfast, St. John's Newfoundland, Canada ID1311 - To give our guests a 'little' something special at breakfast each morning of their stay, we lay a handmade candy rose sucker on its own special plate at their place setting. Each candy rose is coordinated with the color of plates we're using that day. Each candy rose is in a clear bag tied with pink ribbon - just right for taking home and showing to their friends, or eating at the airport while thinking of what a wonderful time they had with us! And ... every time they see a rose, maybe they'll think of us ... it could happen! 13-Dec-2003 Shirley Bray, Ambrosia Rose Inn, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ID1303 - We like to show guests how much we appreciate them staying at our Inn by giving them a little gift at check-out time. We want them to remember us! Our gift is a small bag filled with 'goodies' and tied with pink and yellow ribbon. The following poem and 'goodies' are inside the bag:
18-Dec-2003 Ambrosia Rose Inn, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ID1305 - You may have your travel business advertised in a number of publications at any one time. If you do, it is important that you can monitor just how successful each advert is so that you can use the best publications in the future. You can do this by including in your address 'Dept. E' (for an ad in the Evening News), or 'Dept. T' (for an ad in the Travel Gazette). Alternatively, if your business normally has an individual as a contact you could have 'Please contact E. Smith' (for an ad in the Evening News . . . etc.) 1-Jan-2000 Grangeclare Holiday Apartments, Guernsey, Channel Islands, United Kingdom ID1308 - We wanted to give those folks inquiring about our Inn an 'inside and outside' look at the Inn without it costing us an 'arm and a leg' so to speak! So, we set up an Ambrosia Rose Inn family site at MyFamily.com. Now anyone who inquires about the Inn gets to join our Inn's 'family' site. They receive notification of their invitation, a temporary user ID, and their own password. We can put a zillion pictures on the family site - plus recipes, Inn news, and an Inn events calendar! Our new Inn family members can add their friends to the site also and make comments. It's a great promotion tool. And ... it's working terrific ... our Inn family is growing like our business! 18-Dec-2003 Ambrosia Rose Inn, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma ID1304 Would You Like to Add a Travel Tip?We welcome QUALITY travel tips from our users.Note: you will be required to enter the characters from a security image, so please make sure that you have your browser set to view images.
